Halloween H2 Casting Call
First Casting Call For Rob Zombie’s Halloween H2
Halloween H2 Casting Call
If your an tall redneck actor male read below. You might just strike paydirt. credit: http://bloody-disgusting.com
A casting call has already begun for Rob Zombie’s H2, which begins filming January in Los Angeles, CA (man, that was fast!). Here’s who they’re casting so far: [HOWARD BOGGS] - Caucasian - 6′4″ - age open. HOWARD is the huge, thick necked bouncer at the ‘Rabbit in Red’ night club. He’s not a pierced-tattooed-rocker type, but more of a hard workin’ fist fightin’ beer drinkin’ bouncer.” The call reports that they “are starting on this right away, so please only submit people who are in town for the holidays and able to audition this week.” It looks like Zombie has been writing the screenplay for quite sometime now. We’re told Scout Taylor-Compton, Tyler Mane, Malcolm McDowell, Daeg Faerch and Sheri Moon Zombie will all be returning. The new film picks up right as the first remake ended, following the aftermath of Michael Myers’ murderous rampage through the eyes of the sister he hunted.

Halloween H2 Gets Release Date
Halloween H2 Gets Release Date
While Rob Zombie has officially begun casting H2, the sequel to his own remake of HALLOWEEN, Dimension Films has officially slated the film for release on August 28, 2009. Watch for official casting news as it comes in. Tyler Mane is the only confirmed cast member returning as he’ll once again rock the mask of the infamous Michael Myers. In other news, Tyrannosaurus Rex has officially been pulled off Dimensions’ release slate (obviously).

H2 Laurie Strode Plans
H2 Laurie Strode Plans Via Rob Zombie’s My Space
Rob Zombie posted the below flyer on his MySpace page under the subject header “What is Laurie Strode doing this year for Halloween?” I presume this is a plot teaser for something to come in next year’s H2 as Zombie is known for dropping hints about his upcoming projects via his blog. (”Captain Clegg and the Night Creatures” is a nice touch, a nod to Peter Graham Scott’s Hammer Films production starring Peter Cushing.) This probably won’t be the last teaser to come from the man, so Shock will keep you posted as more developments arise.

Rob Zombie talks H2 Halloween Sequel
Halloween H2
Dimension Films and Rob Zombie are teaming for another chapter of "Halloween," and he's racing to scare up the pic for release in October.
Zombie will write and direct "H2," the sequel to his 2007 reinvention of the John Carpenter horror classic. Production will begin in March.
The new film picks up right as the first remake ended, following the aftermath of Michael Myers' murderous rampage through the eyes of the sister he hunted.
Zombie said it won't resemble the original second installment, as the "House of 1000 Corpses" helmer continues to take the franchise in different directions.
Zombie took Carpenter's original and stamped it with an original storyline that treated Myers as a clinical psychopath. The film grossed $60 million domestically in 2007.
Zombie had told Dimension chief and TWC co-chairman Bob Weinstein he wanted nothing to do with a sequel. But just like the franchise's villain, Zombie was compelled to come back.
"I was so burned out. (But) I took a long break, made a record and I got excited again," Zombie said. "Now, we'll be hauling ass, and that's the problem making a movie called 'Halloween': If you come out Nov. 1 or after, nobody cares. If it was called anything else, I'd be fine."
Malek Akkad of Trancas Intl. Films will produce with Spectacle Entertainment's Andy Gould.
