Halloween Siskel and Ebert Review Video

Very interesting movie review on Halloween by these two supposed legends. Anyway, they hate the Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street Movies. But, slurped Halloween. What the fuck? Anyway, I loved Halloween and the franchise. But, this is too much.

Bill Moseley Bio

William Moseley (born November 11, 1951) is an American film actor and musician who has starred in a number of cult classic horror films. His first big role was in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2 as Chop Top. He has also released records with guitarist Buckethead, in the band Cornbugs.

At the age of 29, Moseley got his first film role in Alan Rudolph's Endangered Species as a cab driver. In 1985's Osa he played a character named "Quilt Face." His third role has become one of his most well known; he appeared as Chop Top in Tobe Hooper's The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2, after Tobe Hooper saw him in the independent short, The Texas Chainsaw Manicure. The character spawned the famous film quotes, "Dog will hunt!", "Incoming mail!", and "Lick my plate, you dogdick!".

Two years after TCM 2, he played Frank in 1988's Mamba. Also in 1988 he played Dr. Gilsig in the remake of the Steve McQueen film The Blob. He next played Darrell in the film Pink Cadillac starring Clint Eastwood. He then played the lead role of Ricky Caldwell in Silent Night, Deadly Night 3: Better Watch Out!. Even after his roles in these films, he still failed to achieve the popularity within the horror community that he had enjoyed after TCM 2.

In 1990, Moseley appeared in three films: Crash and Burn, The First Power, and The End of Innocence. That year, he also portrayed Johnnie in Tom Savini's remake of George Romero's 1968 zombie film, Night of the Living Dead. In 1993, he had a small role in the cult hit Army of Darkness as the Deadite leader. A year later, he was featured in the video game Corpse Killer. In 1997 he did voiceover work, for the film, Anders Jacobsson's Evil Ed, but it was not until 2003 that he would have a role that was just as popular as Chop Top.

That year, he starred as the maniacal Otis B. Driftwood (named after Groucho Marx's character from A Night at the Opera) in Rob Zombie's directorial debut House of 1000 Corpses. As Otis, he again became an icon in the horror community. In 2005, he reprised the role of Otis in the sequel The Devil's Rejects. Moseley's performance inspired an independent campaign for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination, which failed.

In 2008, Moseley plays the role of Luigi Largo in Repo! The Genetic Opera. In this futuristic, genetic opera, he was able to network with Nivek Ogre of Skinny Puppy and ohGr and subsequently, appear's on ohGr's new album Devils in my Details. He mainly speaks at the beginnings or endings of the songs in vivid, poetic rants. He appears on Eyecandy, Feelin' Chicken, Psychoreal, Timebomb, Smogharp, and Witness. Additionally, in 2008, Moseley appeared as a telemarketer in the music video for Combichrist's "Sent to Destroy".

Personal life
Moseley was born in Stamford, Connecticut, grew up in Barrington Hills, Illinois, and is a graduate of Yale University. He has two daughters, Marion Moseley and Jane Moseley. Moseley posts on the Fangoria message boards as "Bill Moseley" and was the lead singer of the Cornbugs, a three-man band he had between 1999 and 2007 with avant-garde rock/metal guitarist Buckethead and Deli Creeps' drummer, Pinchface. He also contributed vocal parts to the songs I Come In Peace and Onions Unleashed from Buckethead's album Giant Robot (1994).

Halloween The Curse of Michael Myers Trailer

Halloween The Curse of Michael Myers Trailer

Halloween - The Remake Review (Rob Zombie)

Ok, ok, ok. I will get killed on this post for this. but, i don't give a rats ass. I loved this reimaging of Halloween from Rob Zombie. First, of all i will admit i'm kinda a sucker for Zombie. I dug House of 1000 Corpes and The Devil's Rejects. I like seeing the same characters actors in movies. I was stoked that Ken Foree got in this picture. I absolutely loved the aspect of Michael Myers getting a back story. I liked the white trash kid and abusive family aspect. I'm a very big fan of backstories so shoot me. Rob gave Halloween a raw edgy feel that its been desparately needing. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the previous movies and their always good for a watch but, this hits you in the fucking mouth. It was tremendous to have malcolm macdowell as Dr. Loomis and to see the return of Danielle Harris to a large feature flick was very cool. Rob did not stray too far from the original once Michael ends up back in Haddonfield. Like i said i was big on this picture's back story. I continue to be baffled that fans hammer Rob for this movie. I sometimes wonder if they are even watching the same movie. This movie is raw, dirty, ugly and exactly what this franchise needed. I also like Michael being played by Tyler Mane. He added a very Jason Voorhees quality to Michael in order to bring back a freight train feeling Michael needed. I give this movie 4 axes out of 5.

Ezra Buzzington up for H2.

Ezra Buzzington up for H2.

Horror Hideout posted this news by way of Bloody Disgusting.Com

Rob Zombie announced today that Ezra Buzzington will be taking up a role in H2 (Halloween 2), which begins shooting in Georgia soon. Hopefully this time his role will remain in the movie. "Ned Atkins - beer delivery man for The Rabbit In Red Club. Unfortunately Ezra's scene were cut from Halloween, so he had to come back and rock it again," says Zombie. The new film picks up right as the first remake ended, following the aftermath of Michael Myers' murderous rampage through the eyes of the sister he hunted. Dimension has it slated for release on August 28th, although for once I'd love to see a HALLOWEEN film in October.

Halloween H2 Casting Call

First Casting Call For Rob Zombie’s Halloween H2
Halloween H2 Casting Call

If your an tall redneck actor male read below. You might just strike paydirt. credit: http://bloody-disgusting.com

A casting call has already begun for Rob Zombie’s H2, which begins filming January in Los Angeles, CA (man, that was fast!). Here’s who they’re casting so far: [HOWARD BOGGS] - Caucasian - 6′4″ - age open. HOWARD is the huge, thick necked bouncer at the ‘Rabbit in Red’ night club. He’s not a pierced-tattooed-rocker type, but more of a hard workin’ fist fightin’ beer drinkin’ bouncer.” The call reports that they “are starting on this right away, so please only submit people who are in town for the holidays and able to audition this week.” It looks like Zombie has been writing the screenplay for quite sometime now. We’re told Scout Taylor-Compton, Tyler Mane, Malcolm McDowell, Daeg Faerch and Sheri Moon Zombie will all be returning. The new film picks up right as the first remake ended, following the aftermath of Michael Myers’ murderous rampage through the eyes of the sister he hunted.

Halloween H2 Gets Release Date

Halloween H2 Gets Release Date

While Rob Zombie has officially begun casting H2, the sequel to his own remake of HALLOWEEN, Dimension Films has officially slated the film for release on August 28, 2009. Watch for official casting news as it comes in. Tyler Mane is the only confirmed cast member returning as he’ll once again rock the mask of the infamous Michael Myers. In other news, Tyrannosaurus Rex has officially been pulled off Dimensions’ release slate (obviously).

H2 Laurie Strode Plans

H2 Laurie Strode Plans Via Rob Zombie’s My Space

Rob Zombie posted the below flyer on his MySpace page under the subject header “What is Laurie Strode doing this year for Halloween?” I presume this is a plot teaser for something to come in next year’s H2 as Zombie is known for dropping hints about his upcoming projects via his blog. (”Captain Clegg and the Night Creatures” is a nice touch, a nod to Peter Graham Scott’s Hammer Films production starring Peter Cushing.) This probably won’t be the last teaser to come from the man, so Shock will keep you posted as more developments arise.
